Today we would be leaving Valencia behind us, and flying home to London.

For our final full day we were going on a day trip by train to the nearby city of Xativa.

We'd spent the last few days seeing things that I'd suggested, thankfully today was mostly Carmen's suggestions: beach, bocadillos, and flamenco.

Today we were on an organised day trip to Peniscola to see where Game of Thrones had filmed scenes set in Meereen. It just so happened to be a Templar Fortress as well.

Day 2 of sightseeing, it seemed likely we'd see the majority of what was left before Carmen's salsa lesson.

Our first full day of sightseeing around Valencia. We'd got a list to work through over the next few days, with no plans on how long any of it would take.

The most important thing for us to do today was to visit the Feria Valencia Exhibition Centre to collect our race numbers for tomorrow. This year, Carmen has been with me to Berlin and to Lyon, but both were only long weekends away - she’d not yet had a week away anywhere.
